Simple Manner

Its just a simple manner.  When you need a chair and you see there's an empty chair beside your table but the table is occupied, you simply just ask "Is this chair available?" or "Is there anyone sitting over here?" or "Excuse me, is this chair taken?" Just ask! Even if there are 10 chairs and only 2 occupied, just ask the 2 fellows. You might say 'wuts the big deal', its empty so i took it.  But that shows you lack of manner. Bukan kerusi mak bapak dia. True but that hows how your parents teach you.  So people if your parents forgot to teach you this basic manner.  Start with yourself and brought down to your generation.  Sometimes this lil' things shows you who you are.

Oh ya, why in the world did this topic popped out? I was at kenduri kawin tadi and the young couple just simple pull a chair beside me without asking. And i was looking at him and he does'nt have any reaction on his  face.  Mana pergi budi bahasa orang Melayu kita.  Kalau dulu orang Melayu cukup dikenali sebagai orang yang berbudi bahasa.  Sayang seribu kali sayang.

Selfish Giler!

Friday pagi pagi dah hangin.  Dah laa dok kejar masa nak swipe the card by 8.30, masa ada 7 more minutes, just nice for me to park the car and take the lift to my office.  Alih2 ada pulak pemandu bas yang samdol ni, stop the bus in the middle of the road, blocking both way traffic! Can you imagine, selfish betulllllllllllllll.  I kept on honking  macam aku nyanyi karaoke pun si pemandu bas samdol tu boleh buat dek! Shit geramnya nasib baik aku bawa keta bukan bawak tractor if not nak jer aku lenyek tayar tractor aku atas bas tu!  Ingatkan aku sorang je yang honk bagai nak rak rupanya ramai yang hon.  Agaknya aku hon tak berhenti sampai tak dengar orang lain pun hon.  Oh Boy, some people just couldn’t care about others, they simply choose to live in their own world.  Hello mak bapak ko punya jalan ke!!!! EIiiiii…nak ngadu kat sapa ni JPJ? PDRM? KPDN? With this kind of situation happening daily how can I achieve my resolution?  Reduce cursing on the road!

pink - is me
red - is the 'samdol' bus driver
yellow - is my office
black - all the honking cars
blue - the selfish cars who parked daily, kena saman pun tak kisah
Kalau korang geram tak??

Continuation of MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM

As promise earlier, i'm updating about Nabila. We're tried the Aldara cream.  It works but slow.  Fucidin on the other hand was quite useless for me.  I was really anxious to see some result so beside the cream we tried few other traditional method since the dermatologist said it will take months or even up to 2 years for her to heal so why not?

My parents tried putting on kulit jering.  Jering also scientifically known as Pithecellobium Jiringu or Archidendron jiringa (Jack) I. C. Nielsen.  We tried for 2 weeks and it works but the molluscum still comes back.  But at least i got faster solution as compared to Aldara cream.  We grind the skin and mix with water.  It was later applied on the affected area.

Somehow jering wasn't good enough for me.  I was worried as the molluscum is spreading up to her chin and cheek.  So i check other alternatives.  I went to Darul Syifa' at Kg Baru, Jalan Daud.  They requested me to bring star fruit leaves and gambir on my next visit.  The two items were grind and mix together which create a paste.  Diaorg ada bacakan doa in the mineral water.  So the paste plus mineral water was applied on Nabila.

star fuit leaves

gambir

Unbelievable, it works tremendously well.  You can see result in 24hours.  Booming! No kidding!  The molluscum desiccated without making the area dry and itchy.  Wonderful right.  So i stop using Aldara.  I used the paste in the morning and afternoon while at night i tried using Derma-X by Healin.  In 2 1/2 weeks time, we managed to get rid all molluscum on Nabila.  It was a cheap and successful remedy! Happy trying :-)

WITHOUT A DOUBT, the paste works wonders! I believe all skin disease can try this, no harm in trying right?

Other namesfor Jering: Djenkol Bean, Jaring, Jaring-jaring, Jengkol hutan, Jenkol, Jering altut, Tutung (local names in various dialects of Borneo), djenkol (Indonesia), krakos (Cambodia), niang-yai (Thailand)

Common name for Gambir: Uncaria gambir (Synonym: Catechu pallidum).
Chinese name: Er Ch

Nabila after the 2 1/2 week treatment. However the scars are still there and i'm using Healin Derma-X to slowly erase the scars.  Click on the pix to see close up.

HandBag Aku Putus

Adoi apa laa punya nasib tadi, i had just parked my car at Giant Bukit Antarabangsa and after taking 3 steps, all of sudden kelepuk my bag was on the floor! WTH?? OMG malunyaa just imagine, the straps are made from gold plated pieces (stop guessing whether its real gold or fully plated, neither both)..and it scattered all over the floor.  There were at least 4-5 people passing by not to mention those in the car. Adoi, takkan nak biaq kat situ kan? Of course laa kena pick it up.  At least i can fix the damn bag.  Thank god this young chap came and help me out.  Semoga Allah tolong dia diwaktu lain. Amin.  Ni satu dugaan ke? ujian ke? musibah? Redha je laa..but all that 'terubat' when my son has completed his first Peter and Jane book 1a.  Soooooooo happy. Cepat laa baca Iman so that mummy tak payah baca dah malam2

Huhuhu...Genap 6 months, my hubby bought me the bag.  Hampas Gas betul, next time no more Raoul!

First Wedding in 2011

I pi set rambut last Sat.  For those tak paham, set is blow aka setting of my hair. Ni, first time aku pi set rambut for wedding selain my own wedding. All this while, attended wedding anak pak menteri, anak datuk bandar, vvip Agung, vvip sultan pun i never did my hair.  Tapi kali ni different sket sebabnya aku attend wedding artis.  Karang semua stok rambut macam sarang tebuan, aku sorang rambut macam jalan baru kena tar macam mana beb.  Sib baik i have long range of baju tradisional nak pakai.  Tapi yang slacknya, boyfriend nak pakai baju melayu cotton hampeh, so sebab nak matchkan color, terpaksa laa sarungkan baju kurung moden simple dengan butiran bintang yang ada.  Ingatkan nak melaram baju lace tampalan bunga, apa nak buat.

Wedding yang aku attend last Sat was reception of Rebecca Nur Islam and Nor Azam kat Flamingo Hotel.
Since takde budget nak cari makeup artist terpaksa laa i makeup sendiri. Rasanya dah cukup cun la..sekali duduk kat meja baru laa aku perasan, aiseyman lupa lak nak pakai bulu mata palsu @ mascara. Jangankan itu, eyeshadow pun lupa. Jadinya bawah shadow je laa aku ni. Punya laa ramai pakai blink blink, naik berpinar mata.  Sib baik rantai berlian yg lebar 1cm aku dapat mencover laa jugak as compared yg lelain pakai selebar 1inci. Hai apa nak buat itu je mampu.  Terus aku sound boyfriend tahun ni nak barang kemas for anniversary last2 darling cakap diaorg tu pakai yg palsu bukan yg ori.  Betul gak kalau semua pakai berlian yg lebar 1-2inci, mau 5angka kaw kaw sedangkan cincin secoet aku pun dah 4 angka. Ker sandiwara laki aku nak escape dari belikan aku berlian..emmm..kena investigate further nih!

The pelamin was beautifully designed.  Newlyweds wear red traditional songket but Rebecca added a long overcoat lace kebaya. The veil was pretty long naik ngeri aku tengok sebabnya kat pintu masuk dah hampir tertarik. I love the kompang performance sebab semuanya kids yg perform, silat pun by the kids.  Linda Onn and the other guy rasanya Aidil kot tak sure nama dia jadik MC.  Farhan and Bob perform some singles.  Lain2 artis yang aku nampak just Datuk Yusof Haslam, Natasha Hudson..agaknya i arrived late so tak nampak laa artis2 yg lain plus we're seated on Azam's side so taktau mana satu artis mana satu tak sebab semuanya pakai glamer habis macam nak pi annual dinner.  Yang pakai tudung pun siap ada 2-3 layer tak pun ada hairband lagi. Yang sanggul lintang, sanggul jatuh, sanggul tidor semua ada.

Next performance yang i like was the dance performance by budak2.  Comel!  I think fantastic penutup was the performance by Azam's son. Before the performance, dia ada bagi short speech yang ending dia "To mother, welcome to our family".  A sweet wish.  Yang best performance tu siap guna gitar kapok lagi played by kid as well! The song goes something like this
"..Hold your breath coz tonight will be the night that I will fall for you
Over again, Don't make me change my mind orr I wont live to see another day
I swear it's true coz a girl like you is impossible to find
You're impossible to find"

When Azam brought Rebecca to our house during Qiqah last year, friends were asking sejak bila aku kawan dengan artis.  Actually masa tu i was quite blurred coz i dont have the slightest idea what they were talking about. Al maklum, aku jarang jarang sangat tengok drama Melayu so tak berapa nak kenal. Anyway for me Rebecca looks more pleasant outside rather than on screen.

Well Azam, Rebecca, Selamat Pengantin Baru.  May both of you have a blissful marriage ahead.

buah tangan dari pengantin

Oh ye dalam banyak2 aku nak komplen pasal Flamingo parking, ada ke parking card dia just accept $1 and $5 and coins..kami yg teroverloaded ni plak ada $50s je ada.  Dah laa parking $4, duit kecik yg paling ada $3! Hangin betul laa.  Sib baik ada hamba Allah mendonatekan $1.

Control Bersin?

I read an interesting article today. Its FACT!

"Jika anda bersin terlalu kuat, anda dapat meretakkan tulang rusuk anda.  Jika anda cuba untuk menahan bersin, anda boleh menyebabkan pembuluh darah di kepala dan leher pecah dan akan menyebabkan kematian!.  Jika anda memaksa mata terbuka sewaktu bersin, bola mata anda boleh terkeluar dari tempatnya"

Hell, what am i suppose to feel after reading this? Nak bersin, boleh patah rusuk, kalau tahan lagi parah.  what if lepas ni i bersin but still control so that tak terlalu kuat, wonder whats the impact??

Dry Skin - My Solution

My legs are always dry!  From the knee till the ankle.  I do not know why.  Perhaps lack of water, my own assumption.  Or maybe i have mild eczema.  No idea but it keeps on coming back which irritates me because i feel itchy and my gatal fingers will always garu garu garu until i feel satisfied.  On several occasion, i even scrub my legs with salt.  I tried so many creams on the shelves.  I think i covered almost 70% of body cream/lotion in Guardian. My credit goes to Rosken Dry Cream in white and blue packaging.  Thats the best! You can see result in 4-5days time.  The smell is acceptable, And you only need a size of 20cent to cover one whole leg. It keeps you moisturize whole day.

Body Shop~Body Butter a so-so, of course the smell is great but only moisturize the skin for few hours.  Same goes with Johnson&Johnson.  Its too mild.  But i love the smell. The lotion texture is as smooth as the baby skin.

Others like the Perfume Lotion, they should be used before you spray on the perfume.  It makes the perfume last longer but heck it doesn't do anything to your skin.  Basically just to spice you up.

Happy Hunting For Your Faves Lotion!

Iman First Day at Kindergarten

Yikes my son finally goes to kindergarten! All of sudden i felt a mature feeling blasted in my inner self! No wonder my grey hairs are popping out like mad! Since early of 2010, i've been scouting the right kindie for Iman.  As a mom i wanted the best for him, i'm sure all mothers have the same feeling.  Bunch of kindies scattered around my areas namely Qdees, Krista, Montessori, Eduwis, Little Caliph, Atfal Kids, ISKL, Unikids. I was in dilemma to find the right one for him.  I wanted a place where he's comfortable.  Spacious and clean for my son.  Proper education system and not solely depends on TV or PC.  I wanted my son to have interaction.  I wanted him to have friends from various races and background. Iman needs to socialize and build his confidence before he enters the primary school.

I like Qdees in Bukit Antarabangsa, the place looks good, colorful but i was told Qdees teaching method uses quite a lot of PC based which i don't prefer.  Iman can have his hands on pc anytime in the house.  So first choice out.  Whilst Krista, my friend said okay but the teachers are always changing. Eduwis was rather small so the place look cramped.  Little Caliph, not bad but i was thinking definitely its going to be 100% Malay so that doesn't meet my requirement.  Don't get me wrong its not that i don't want my son to be around his own race i just felt it was really important for him to broaden his views about different kind of people. Later in school, he'll be socializing more with his own kind.

I love Montessori teaching so when i check out UniKidcity at Sering Ukay, the fees was like RM650 for half day school.  Macam nak bayar harga Myvi mak aku.  A bit pricy for me but takpe laa yang nak bayar is my hubby.  Went back and talk to my darling hubby.  Green light given.  Great! Macam dah confirmed!  Then i had a conversation with my friend who send her kids to Tadika Kemas je and she said "as long as my children can read, count and mingle, its good enough for me".  Now that makes my eyes blinked!  Betul jugak and her fees was like RM30!!!  Later I had a conversation with my dear mom who is actually an ex teacher.  She said "if you don't plan to send your kids to International school then a good and reasonable kindie would do just fine because once they entered school, English speaking cair macam sungai pun boleh jadi macam lumpur!" heheheh.  So points taken Mak.

Finally i found this place TIC Junior @ Tadika Mekar Ilmu which is really spacious, 2 semi-detached house combined. Classes were properly ventilated, air-conditioned and cozy.  Mostly are elderly teachers ranging 40's above which makes me more confident and comfortable to send my son.  Plus the teachers are friendly!  In December 2010, TIC Junior offered summer camp@school holiday programme for a duration of 5 days for a period of 3hours.  So i sent Iman to the program hoping he can mingle around and would not cry on his first day of school.  The output was excellent.  During that 5 days, i can see they did a lot of science project and i could see how creative the teachers are.  Itu yang buat i picked this place!

Registration was given clear and precise.  Dah siap ada schedule for daily classes, yearly schedule, everyday's menu for one whole month, car sticker and many more.  Teaching series they're using Peter and Jane from Ladybird series for English, Bacalah Anakku for BM.  Makanan pun confirm halal.  Ada swimming classes, gym classes, science classes, tae kwando class, computer studies and etc.  There'll be about 15-16 students per class.  And the price was reasonable.  What more could i ask???

So Iman, mummy dah picked hopefully the most suitable one for you.  The rest of the journey lies on your shoulder.  Do well sayang.

Iman: Mummy, my class name is TIC Dolphin

Nak jugak bag transformer yang besar bagak ni!

Iman really excited for his first day

TIC Junior, besarkan, its like a big bungalow.

Apa Itu Kesabaran

I heard on IKIM FM last few days.  Interesting,  from a well-known family motivator.

School Holiday Program for Iman

Last 1 ½ years I brought Iman to Tumble Tots.  I want him to socialize in the playgroup activity since he’s confined daily to his grandparents.  So I thought it would be a healthy activity for him.  After 2 classes, he’s still standing like a statue beside the wall which makes my hubby decided to stop. I don’t agree but follow je la.  Since he’ll be attending kindergarten in 2011, I thought it would be better for him to mingle around with the children before he goes formally in.  I takut Iman cry on his first day so just nak biasakan dia.

The program is just to steady him up and push some confidence in him plus to get him familiar with the environment and waking up time.  So I had taken up a school holiday program for him.  It’s a science project for 5 days course.  Much to my surprise, the teacher thinks he has attended school before. Teacher kata “I thought he attended school before.  Anak you smart! He talks a lot and mingle around”  Pergh terangkat bontot aku,  effect from aku terkejut and first time orang puji anak aku sure laa berkembang2 bontot aku hehehehe.  Anyway I still have worries, bukan apa school holiday program ni orang tak ramai when the actual day ramai.  Takut he become the opposite of what he is today.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME – DAY 1

Me     : Did you have fun?
Iman  : uhum…

Me     : So Iman buat windmill and sun laa tadi
Iman  : Yes, iman paint sun.  Iman pun paint rocket.
Me     : Paint sun color apa?
Iman  : Yellow and orange

Me     : Macam mana dia turn into butterfly
Iman  : Bila dia big, dia turn jadi butterfly la
Me     : But how?
Iman  : Ummm its like magic mummy
Me     : Bottle tu untuk apa?
Iman  : Ni untuk tembak mummy!
Me     : Haaa….
Iman  : Ni best mummy, nanti Iman show
Me thinking… this suppose to be a science project holiday program, macam mana turn into soldiering activity pulak ni!

SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME – DAY 3

In the car on the way back home,
Me     : Whats with the bottle?
Iman  : There's octopus inside the bottle.
Me     : Is that so?
Iman  : Ye, nanti at home Iman show

At Home
Me     : So show laa bottle tu.
Iman  : (pressing the bottle and the 'octopus' moving upwards) See mummy, octopus tu gerak naik atas
Me     : (Impressed!) What else did you learn today?
Iman  : I make a ladybird.
Me     : Ye Ke, show me.
Iman  : Nice tak mummy?
Me     : Yes, cantik (Smiling away)
.....

Glad i sent my son to the summer camp.  Another 2 days to go.

The ladybird and the cat

When u pressed the side bottom of the bottle, the octopus move slowly up.  Fantastic aku pun terkedu!

Another science project, boat!  The boat siap boleh move around in the pail.  Canggih.

New Year Resolution

I wrote this 3 days before we celebrated 2011.   So i guess its still countable to be blogged about :-).  I got a long list to complete for 2011.  My friend said why do you need to wait for new year to head off things? True, I don’t need but it acts as a tracker.  Every year I will make a list and wrote it down in a proper diary.  By the end of the year when I need to make resolution for the next year, I just mark off whatever I have completed and those left unmarked will be brought to the new year.
