Bandung Trip - Day 1 (Part 2)

Before I go further, let me do some promo on New SanyRosa Hotel , Bandung. Per nite is RP412,500 @RM147 for deluxe room. The best thing about this hotel is you do not need to make advanced payment or even booking fees. Just call them again 3 days before arrival to confirm. Its that hassle free. Pizza Hut and MacD 24hours are just opposite the hotel plus there's Setiabudhi mart about 3 minutes away. Then you have nearby restaurants which are within walking distance e.g. Ayam Goreng Suharti, Sari Pawon, Rumah Makan Sederhana Nasi Padang. The downside of this Hotel is that BREAKFAST is the same for every freaking day!!!! Meehon noodle, mix vege, fried rice, eggs, bread and porridge. But hey, you'll survived. Just make sure you stuffed yourself to gain enerygy for your 'shop-walk-drop' later. Here's the number incase you're interested 0062222033562. Thats if you're calling from Malaysia.  Nanti i post gambar sany rosa day time..

Right after we took 'Angkot' to Warung Makan Ma'Uneh. According to many, the food is superb! We ordered 'gurame goreng' and 'sup bontot'. It was quite funny, i thought i was going to push ' a cow's butt' down to my throat. Apparently its an ox tail! Thank god for that! Otherwise i can't imagine chewing the so called 'butt' in my mouth. Eewwww... I also tried Jus Alpukat, its avocado with a slight mix of chocolate. Pleasantly delicious but one should never take with main course especially with rice because you tend to feel full! I would give 3/5 to Warung Ma'Uneh. Its a Sunda food. Perhaps its a bit oily yet still dry for my throat.  But the OxTail Soup definitely kaw habis! Total makan cost us about RP125,900 ~ rm44.70 emm..for that dishes and price perhaps boleh dapat extra dish kalau makan kat Pandan Indah, Restoran Sinar Mesra. Well bila pi tempat orang mesti try makanan diaorang kan, baru vacation namanya.

Gurame goreng, sop bontot, jus alpukat and they come with 3 'sambal' i.e. sambal tomat @ sambal tomato, sambal cili kering and chopped onion with soy sauce

Bandung Trip - Day1 (Part 1)

I’m back from my Bandung trip. It was the first time ever both me and hubby left the kids. I thought it was gonna be allright but I was shamelessly crying throughout the ERL journey. How can I stand not being mushy when my 4 year old son hugging me tightly with tears rolling down his cheek plus the sight of Nabila extending her arms asking me to take her along makes my inner spirit mellowed. But we made the right decision by not bringing them since our main intention was to shop till we drop.

At first I wanted to type a short and simple blog about this trip but ‘googling’ around for the past 2 weeks searching for info on Bandung rather make me wanna write more. Who knows, with this lil’ info, some will benefit.

20th October 2010 was a cloudy day. Husein Sastranegara International Airport in Bandung is rather small and old. Taxis are everywhere outside the airport. We managed to arrive at the hotel after 20-25minutes driving time at a cost of 40,000 rupiah (RP) ~ RM14.20.  Oh ya before that keep aside RP75,000 for the airport tax plus another RP60,000 for the taxi incase 'macet' @ jammed or flooded, they'll charged you more!  With that aside, you can go on with your shopping spree without any hesitation.

We picked New Sany Rosa Hotel at Jalan Hegarmanah for our 4D 3N stay which is at the junction of Jalan Setiabudhi and Jalan Cipaganti.  Just a brisk walk of 5 minutes, you can start to shop at the most famous Factory Outlet in town – Rumah Mode. That’s the first place where me and hubby started throwing our ‘millions’ around! In 3 hours, we spent RP3.800,000. I was like wooo…do we have enough cash to last for another 3 days.

Shopping at Rumah Mode was heaven! I love the place, the whole ambience was simply irresistible. Even outside, the place was beautifully landscaped. It makes you wanna relax. There's a cool cafe for you to lay back.  You might wanna try 'Pisang Bolen', its quite yummy. This had become my favourite place. I could find tops like cardigans, blouses, capri pants, branded jeans, spaghetti straps at affordable price. If you always shop at Zara, TopShop, GAP, Isetan then this is the place for you to go. Even the men section is full of up-to-date apparels. Office attire, rowdy tees, bermuda, jackets, pyjamas.. you can find absolutely everything here.

Ahh..then come the kids section.  Wolaaa...if shopping is an exam, i'm pretty sure all the ladies will score A++!  Clothing under 2 years are marvellous.  Cute, different, outstanding, new design, branded, you name it you got it.  I have to keep my hands at my sides otherwise i'll be putting each garment into my shopping bag.  Its cheap and Rumah Mode dont compromise on quality.  I think Rumah Mode has to give me discount card for promoting them 'kaw kaw' heheheh..I'll post some of Rumah Mode pix later.

Right now my eyes is partially awake and my brain is 90% asleep so i gotta pen off for now.  In another episode perhaps. Sayonara.

My Beauty Regime - Clinique

I memang tersangat jealous dengan anyone yang spend ‘ciput’ on their beauty regime AND they still can look awesome. I think I dah spend thousands since my teen on beauty products. Biasa laa masa muda semua nak try. From Freeman to Neutrogena to Lor’eal, MAC, Clarins, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Bobbi Brown, SKII..kira apa jer ada kat counter I have tried 50% of them except direct selling product which I have yet to try. Still my face have volcanos eruptions. Ok exaggerated, more like potholes ..em make that mini patches of potholes. Like my sister in law, she used ‘Clean and Clear’ and Johnson&Johnson compact powder. Pergh murah giler and her face is smooth silky as the china doll no kidding and she’s fair so that’s an added bonus I guess.

I don’t know why whenever I wanted to change to a lower range, there’s this witty witch at the back of my head keep on telling me…”Ambik je laa MAC blusher, kalau ambik Maybelline in 3 months time dah kena buy again”, so kira punya kira macam almost the same. Seriously my Clinique Facial Wash lasted for almost 6-8 months, so for a RM78 that’s consider cheap rite if you divided by months. Whether there’s really a witty witch or me myself yang asyik tergilakan branded items. I do not know. And I do not want to know, selagi cukup duit aku belasah je laa Clinique.

Oh ya, nak share sikit. When you remove your makeup make sure you thoroughly wipe and clean your lips otherwise the lipstick stain will eventually blend with your lips making it in the long run, bluish and dark. People will think you’re a smoker!

Plus how late you come back home, wash and clean up.  My face is an evidence of late nite clubbings and sleeping with the makeup on!! Dah terlambat nak regret pun sob sob :-(

Salesgal sunway cakap "Muka you tak laa teruk sangat cuma u tak rajin jaga je.." emm...what was she trying to imply? In other words TERUK laa tu!!!!!

Kids and Their World

Kadang2 i wonder what children are thinking.  What kind of games they are playing.  They can run around just giggling wagawaga...the other day Nabila said something which i have no clue but Iman already on the floor rolling on his stomach and laughing endlessly.

Pelik ler..ke aku yang pelik, tah ler.

i assume: neesa naik scambler lari nak lari dari monster

I'm thinking what to assume, clueless

Hello Boy, what are you trying to do over here...emmmm

Power Puff Gal

Playing Hide and Seek or plainly hide??

i know Iman, you just wanna make sure she's not peeping on you..cehhh

What Your Blog Worth?

Intresting masa tengah dok surf some blogs i came across this!  You should try it out.
http://www.mywebsiteworth.com.  My blog is worth USD7.  Ceh..nampak sangat takde orang baca hahahahahah.. salah calculate kot!

Well that doesnt deter me, yang penting keep on blogging, esok2 anak2 aku boleh tengok mummy diaorang punya ceritakan

New But Ragged

This morning while driving I passed by a car which is quite new perhaps a month old., I noticed that the owner has not removed the plastic covers of all the seats. Even the labels are still stuck to the plastics. For those of you who are in the similar situation out there, PLEASE laa.. go now and removed once for all!

You know why? Because forever you will never get to enjoy new and beautiful things in life if all are wrapped up. By the time you want to remove the cover which I trust going to be few more months or even years, the plastic will be crumpled and yellowish which makes your car look fugly and begrimed! Plus your expensive little rider will look cheap! You don’t get to enjoy the comfort of your own new car! And by that time, its out of fashion.  Kawan, ENJOY life. All the things in this world are meant to be thrown or changed.

Jangan end up macam this one incident. I visited one house for raya years back, to my surprise the dinner seats were all covered with plastics, from the look of it, I knew it has been years in that way. The sad part was the dinner seat is beautiful but because it has not been uncovered for years, the velvet has smudges, the materials are no longer soft. Instead of a nice lovely chair, you have a grubby chair. Doesn’t it spoils your dining hall? So what is the use of having new items around your house? Get what I mean?

If you are one the owner of this car, GET HELP! Im dead serious.., courtesy pix from Mr Google

AKU MISS STILETTOS!

I miss wearing high heels, I love wearing ‘em. Suka sangat bila pakai heels because it makes me tall and I pun feel tall hehehe. Setakat shopping 10 hours from Midvalley then to Bukit Bintang, Lot 10 then back to KLCC takde hal laa in stilettos. I can run and jump with heels. I’m serious babe! The higher the better. Heels ni macam bagi kita confidence, jalan pun steady je.

I use to own not less than 15pairs way back then. Different clothes with different shoes, different bags with different shoes.  3 yeas back I got a slip disc. Nanti laa bila free I’m going to jot about that. So these days my shoes are limited to flats and only 3 pairssssss. Patheticnya! Masa mula2 tu susah nak accept, sedih gak but I always have to remind myself to bersyukur banyak banyak for I can still walk. Kalau ada heels pun about 1 inch heels je which I wear for not more than 3 hours otherwise my back will be crying. Ye laa kebaya cun sket pakai heelskan. Thank god I still can opt for wedges!

Anyway ni pix2 yg I came across. Luvelynyaa….huhuhu

Thanks Mr Google for all below pix!

this would be my first selection..geramnya grrr grr..

Life is A ........

I have a friend whose life is quite complicated and complex based on her daily updates.  But i believe it should not be that complex because there are people who are having far more bad times than her.  I want to dedicate this quote to her.  Shahnaz, this one is for you.

Jigsaw Puzzle

Being the first, always ‘untung’. I can see that now. When you have 1 child, you’ll have all the focus you want on him. With Iman, I teach and play with him more than I did with Nabila. Not because of he’s my favourite child, but because he was the only one THERE AND THEN. Now I have to split my time.

When Iman reached 1 year old, I bought his first wooden puzzle. Nothing fancy just 12 pieces of simple jigsaw. The jigsaw came with a nail holder which makes it easier for him to hold and place in the exact location. Gradually I increased the pieces to around 20 pieces. Beli kat Tesco je, murah. In 10 months time, he managed to complete 42 giant pieces puzzle of Thomas on his own. Lepas tu asal gi Tesco je mesti beli puzzle. Cheap puzzles costing me around RM4-RM6. From 40 piceces to 60 pieces. 60 pieces to 100 pieces and so forth.

These days I picked puzzles which are above his age. At 3 1/2yrs, he’s able to complete an 8 year old puzzle, 250 pieces in a few hours all by himself. Now he’s on the 350pieces. Completed that as well on the same day. I even tried the 500 pieces and he also managed to finish it but I sense for the 500pieces he gets bored easily. Plus he needs help to complete the puzzle. Maybe its just too small and complicated for his age. Well, I’ve tried.

I’m writing this down not because I want to boast about Iman. I’m sure some kids can do more wonders than him but this is simply my method to get my kid keen on something new perhaps you can use the same trick. “Practice Makes Perfect” is the keyword. And yes, you got to spare time with him.

P/s: Feeling a big guilt towards Nabila, I can’t seem to find the time with her. Need to arrange for some puzzle week with her. Or do boys focus more than girls?

Thin and Skinny

My son is slim, fine skinny.  I agree but hello, you don't need to point it out alllllll the time.  I'm his mother and im fully aware.  Bukan aku tak bagi makan anak aku.  Sometimes i became fed up with people annotates about Iman and scrutinising his body. "Kurus kering"..bla bla...."kena tukar nama, tak sesuai, panggil je xxx".  Oh God, if his name referring to something bad, i can sligtly accept but the meaning is plain, direct and simple 'Faith'..there's more.."pi laa jumpa sapa-sapa mintak apa-apa yang patut".  How can people be so shallow?

Urgh urgh geram.. Yes, i pun worried at times but its not as though he doesn't eat at all, he ates cuma not everyday he takes rice.  He drinks milk banyak jugak daily.  And I do give him supplement.. multivite with lysine, honey, scott emulsion, ubat cacing and even my mom goes to all trouble preparing variety of recipes for him. I have taken all the right steps.  Even went to consult his pediatrician!  Iman is underweight by 3 kg.  He has the height of a 5 year old when he was 3.5 years. About 14kg.

Me myself, most people consider i'm petite, at 153cm weighing 44.5kg, ok so my hubby is tall and perhaps slightly round well not that round say around 75kg,  so how do you expect our son to be plump and meaty?? And most of the people who does the talking have sons which wear size 75B bra. So don't compare laa..forever tak sama.  And hell i for sure and am pretty sure don't like my son to end up with any bra sizes! As long as he is healthy and active, i'm just fine with the way he is.

But today i'm quite pleased.  He's 20kg!!! Syoknyaaa :-)))))

takpe Iman, mummy always doakan Iman healthy and active.  My prayers are with you all the time.

Pulau Batu Hitam, Kuantan Pahang

My sister in law had Raya open house on Saturday. At first, I wasn’t keen going to Kuantan, reason being that Monday is the first working day after a long raya leave. But I’m glad we went! Since we didn’t manage to go for mandi laut at Pangkor, we decide to search for beaches in Kuantan. Left KL 10.30am, arrive 12.30pm for Open House, finish at 3pm, 5.30pm to the beach. Cergas!

We rest our heels in Pantai Batu Hitam's sand. Its in Beserah, Kuantan. Nabila is definitely a daring and adventurous girl. She walked on the sand as if she’s used to it unlike Iman dulu, nak put his feet on the sand pun geli. Iman and Nabila had a blast in the waves. Loves seeing them. Definitely more beach outings next year onwards.

Best thing is that I saw some difference on Nabila’s neck. Her molluscum seems to shy away. That’s a good news for us.

Clean beach, fresh air, clear water and windy …ummmm so nice, not much else to ask for. Reminds me of my old days in Geelong. My house was just 1km walking distance to the beach…em..how I miss that..the morning breeze, the scenery is breathtaking. Would love to bring my kids there one day.
