Proper Tie Length

Recently i went for a grooming session.  Interesting!  Wanna share some tips with you guys out there.  Will include more in days to come.

The proper length for a tie is for the tip of the wide end to touch the top of your belt.


You do not want it to be long because 
a) if its long, its pointing to ....i'll leave that blank for you to fill it up
b) it might stuck in your fly
c) you might pee on the thing!


You do not want it to be short because
a) because you are not those GQ models, you want to keep it macho not look like a model clown
b) "Too short of a tie makes you look like a rube."
c) Having the tie too short just makes one look heavier


So how many ties you should have in your closet? Lucky number is 10


If you are medium or large build, never buy the thin tie!

Never wear a tie that carries brand!
You're not that brand boutique sales man

never pick floral motives unless the design is vague like this purple and silver tie

never pick a tie that has more than 4 colors, big design, cartoon are all NO NO in the corporate world

Tengah aku sibuk ambik ayaq sembahyang tiba2 datang satu minah ni..boleh pulak dia placing betul2 sebelah aku..aku pun heran..dalam banyak2 tempat yang kosong dia boleh sibuk kat tepi aku..bukan ada orang lain kat situ, kami dua je!  not that aku berkira sapa sebelah aku but then bila tempat tu kosong apa salahnya pilih tempat yang lapang.  Ini tidak, bila time aku tunduk ambik sembahyang asyik dok berlaga bontot dengan dia yang sibuk dok menderam muka dia dengan facial wash.  Kang if i move macam aku sombong pulak. What A Lovely Day Today

I love my day today! I'm still smiling now.  Kalau i'm outing with my mom and sis.  Perghhhh syokkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!  Tak makan pun takpe.  Dah kenyang hehehe...Started my day today at Ampang Puteri.  When to pick up my medical report with my mum.  Alhamdullilah, i'm clear! Everything superb! Ab initio, i reckoned i would be nearing to a diabetic syndrome and also my cholesterol would be shooting up coz i love to savor cakes, chocs, ice-creams...love cheesy things, lamb, seafood..so when the doc said all in order.  


Syukurnyaa...terus rasa dunia indah, boleh hentam makan lagi kekekeke.  My mum pun okay, sangat2 syukur except her cholesterol is high..siap doc cakap.."Puan lepas ni kita tak nak dah guna minyak2 kelapa sawit..tu semua minyak2 murah..kena makan corn oil ye!".  When my mum came home and told my dad about what the doc commented, bapak said "Takpe, lepas ni kita goreng ikan dengan RON97 saja laa"

my dad is one person that could really make you laugh, lawak bersahaja. If my father was born in this generation, i would ask him to join Raja Lawak hehehe..he can be a great DJ like Salih Yakob!

We had a late breakfast at MacD.  My mum punya concern pasal her cholesterol, siap taknak letak butter kat pancake.  


Treat my mum and sis at Euro Moda for baju raya.  Kena cepat daa, tailor cakap end of this month last submission.  I hardly buy kain, kalau beli normally its for raya or occasion.  Maybe once or twice a year.  I find it pricy.  Kain chokia chokia dah $250 + $85upah kurung biasa, tu belum masuk mak nenek lining and beads.  Kalau lining dah $150.  So got to spend minimum $335, mana tahan babe kalau buat tiap2 bulan tapi dapat sepasang je.  I pulak love yang ala2 transaparent coz i find the cloth nampak more classy so those kain confirm kena dryclean.  Maintenance cost lagi.  


Anyway terbabas gak 3 pasang, takpe laa raya setahun sekali.  My mom pun borong sakan! My sis took 2.  Then brought my mom to buy kain lagiiiii for her blouse at Jalan Bangkok Bank.  Ada lagi ke nama jalan ni? Tah laa but its around the old Metrojaya Sinar Kota.  I think they changed to Mydin.  So those days...ada kedai2 kain cina.  Now tinggal satu je.  The material is somewhat different from those you found at Jalan TAR.  Kedainya nama Isetan!


Drop my mom off at home.  Zohor jap then off to Pavillion.  Baru perasan dah 5.00pm, no wonder my stomach is howling!  Grab a quick bite at The Loaf.  First time, i tried actually.  Sedap laa...definitely gonna make a regular stop when i'm there again.  We had beef+mushroom+cheese quiche, creamcheese + bluberry ni mmg too die for laa..cream cheese filling dia tersangat laa filling! chichen ham + cheese croissant, hazelnut cupcake which taste more like a thick mousse, cream puff yang heaven tu, strawberry apa tah. yg paling out for me. Apa lagi tah..tak berapa ingat laa..RM40 for tea-time, not bad.  Worth it laa..Nanti nak bring my parents here since both of them loves bread.

Truth is i'm looking something hubby's birthday.  I find it hard buying gift for men.  Balik balik benda yang sama.  2 years in a row, i went out together with hubby to buy the gift so this year he wants a surprise.  Yup you read it correctly, he knew i'm getting him something just he hasn't have the clue apa dia.  Kelakar laa pulak kan. But of course when i'm out with my sis, i tend to flung from the real objective.  We went to so many places Jaspal, Warehouse, Promod, MNG, Tangs, MAC, Clinique, Raoul, G2000....till i lost count.  We tried clothes, shoes, makeups..handbags je tak try! heheheh


My sis brought me to Sephora, worldwide cosmetic store.  Sampai juga kat KL.  Founded in France.  Its huge and you can find everything in that store from skincare, color, fragrance, bath & body, haircare, perfume, make-up tools in addition to Sephora's own private label.  


Sephora's product are quite reasonable.  Compact powder $65, cheap but not sure whether its long lasting.  Colors are alright.  Tak sebanyak MAC but not bad.  Yang bestnya tempat ni, you can look look and see see without having the sales girl goggling beside you.  You'll find the common products like Lancome, Clinique, SKII, Clarins then you have Benefits, Burts, Dr Murad, Makeup Forever, Smashbox apa lagi ye..check it out ladies, its cool for those makeup lover!  

I decided to try out this foaming cleansing.  Why?

Product ni takde parabens! Apa tu? korang google ler.  Cheap siot $35 je!  

Concept macam Guardian cuma stuff are basically cosmetics, skincare and fragrance. Kena visit.  those not in kl, don't fred, you can always order online from (US currency)

8pm, kaki dah sengal..clothes, cosmetics done...last2 baru teringat ohhhh..lupa beli present!! Thats y i can't go shopping with my sis. Kopak my purse!  I bought cufflink and tie for my handsome guy.  Hope he likes it.  Yup he's going to love it.  He better be!


Arrived home at 9:30pm before my mom complaint! Last2 my kiddies dah sleep..aiseyman, had i known earlier we would have continue to shop!  My list still have another 50% to cover!!


p/s: Terpikir about my daughter Nabila.  She doesn't have sister to go shop with..to hang around, to chit chat, to gossip..movies together, spa..macam2..emm..hope she will be closer to all her cousins..Nadenne would be her great partner, mummy hoping the best for you sayang. Siap pikirkan for your shopping day tau!

Teacher, Is Iman Slow?

Iman had just been transferred to an advanced class. He was in the beginner class earlier merely coz he didn’t attend any preschool before. He was progressing quite well for the first month. But the past 2 weeks seems slow. Peter and Jane reading book were marked read 2-3 pages je in a week. 


When I go thru with Iman, I can see that he can move 7-8 pages ahead so I wonder is my boy having problem at school or the teacher didn’t go thru with him. Called up the teacher and was told that now they’re focusing more on children which are slower to enable them to catch up with the rest of the group. 


I was baffled. I wonder why didn’t the teacher pursue with the rest and the slower group should be tackled by another teacher. They’re already in an advanced class anyway.


Whole day I’m kept on thinking what I’m going to discuss with the teacher until I heard IKIM FM. A mother called in and she said “I ada anak kurang upaya and he cannot learn as fast as the rest of the kids, I felt sorry for my son. My husband doesn’t understand the situation and kept on giving sarcastic remarks to my son. Sometimes dia perli anak. Dalam hati saya tahu yang anak saya tak mampu untuk buat lebih tapi dia sedang mencuba tapi bila mendengar kata-kata suami saya hati saya hancur dan sedih. Bagaimana saya dapat bantu anak saya…”. She was in tears


As if being hit on the head, I just realized something! There and then, I try to put myself in her shoe blending with Iman’s situation above. If I had to go thru the same,I want the best for him as well. I would want teachers to focus more on my child. How ungrateful I was. My son was already a par with the rest when he entered the advanced class so why can’t I let the teacher give chance to others who lack behind. I was being narcissistic!


Ya Allah, maafkan aku. Insafkanlah aku.

Mak, Surprise!

How did you celebrate your mother's day last Sunday?  We threw a surprise wishes for Mak!
She was indeed surprise and almost in tears! Lepas tu cry jugak when she read our wishes.

Food was fantastic, my mom cooked us butter and cheese lobster which i brought back from Kuching.  Kaki tangan dah gone, ni je tinggal masa i took the pix. Some simple egg salad add to the flavour. I know its mother day but i got no time to cook, busy visiting my MIL, SIL that day.  Nama pun mother day so i ended up visited all the mothers!  Nabila did her own card as well..with her own meaning ???  Second grand daughter in the family. 

Nothing much that day but it was a chaotic and melodrama mood throughout the 2 hours!  With the children running and shrieking, shrilling, piping..macam2 laa..Overall it was a fantastic day for all of us.  We enjoyed till midnite!


Whether she's near enough to hug or far away, make mother's day truly memorable.  If she's no longer around..send her your 'doa'..it should be an everyday event :-)


Till next year...

My First Card Ever!

My lips was pulled upward all the way to my eyes on 8th May 2011, Sunday.  At 9.30am, my precious cheris gave me a special card.  Though i know its not 100% of their own effort and thoughts but the first time is always the best.  The one that you gonna remember it forever.  Thanks a bunch darlings :-)  Mummy loves both of you!  My precious assets in this world.

Manners Again

I have to write about this.  I went for a wedding at Melaka kampung.  I was about to scoop the chicken onto my plate when this makcik kerek sebelah i push me aside..nasib baik tak terpelanting pinggan aku.  Then more outrageous, she wanted to take the spoon from me! I was still holding the damn spoon..teruk nak tarik!  Amboi dalam hati aku orang tua ni tak sabaqnya sib baik tua kalau muda dah sah kena maki! So with upmost polite than i can be i said "Makcik, nanti ye saya ambil dulu", she gave one kind of look.  Bukannya food nak habis pun, still penuh and you're behind me not 100 rows behind me. Then when i wanted to move to the next tray dia blocking.  Brutal giler makcik ni.  Dasyat, mana pi laa adab orang melayu kita these days.  Kalau pi hotal buffet camana laa agaknya.


Immediately it reminded me about 10 years back when i went for a buffet Ramadhan at Tasik Titiwangsa, i think it was Restoran Nelayan.  About 20mins before the azan, orang dah start ambil food.  But unbelievable, people were practically dashing for the food.  Berebut-rebut as if takde dah makanan after that.  Ambik food satu meja yang ada 2-3 orang macam nak ambik for 10-11 people.  Kalau satay tu pergh..macam bukit.  By the time azan finished.  Food needed to be refilled! 


The 3 of us were too stunned to see the crowd.  When we left, we can see most tables still having lots of leftovers.  Bazir giler!  Maybe because of its cheap priced RM30 per head.  Then all of us agreed, that will be the first and the last we'll ever go to Restoran Nelayan.  10 years pass by, perhaps the crowd will be different.  Where all can sit and enjoy decent meals!

Tale of A Girl Name Kate

Well who wouldn’t want to be married to a prince. Its always a fairy tale for every girl plus you have the added bonus if the prince is a charming chap. A prince from a renown country. Make that a kingdom. Oh boy, you’ll be bouncing up and down waiting for the right day to come. 

Of course with all the fame surrounded, you have to accept the other side of that ‘beauty’. I think Kate has started to feel the bites when the Brit’s media comparing her with her sister and her bygone MIL. I think most fresh ‘princesses’ will endure the same slanderous action from every corner. Look what happened to Masako of Japan.  Being somewhat strong and educated person also failed to keep her steady.

Who says it’s easy to become a princess? Its hard to uphold your principles. You got to be classy, sophisticated, in public you got to control your farts most of the time, no butt scratching, no nose picking, no dandruff itching head..wow you got to control your bowel movement. I wonder how Kate managed to go thru the event without feeling bubbly in her stomach.

It also makes me ponder how our Agong Sultan Mizan found his companion. How do they ended up together? She was my senior at St Nicholas Convent. Was it a fairy tale for her as well?

I don’t think I can marry a prince if I were given a chance (this was my thought when I was a virgin ehem) sebab nanti during Raya I can only see my parents on 3rd or 4th day huhuhu..because I need to attend the open house for rakyat! I cannot be seen in my seluar apek petak2, I cannot be seen savoring my cendol sebelah loji penapisan kat Ampang Jaya. I cannot be seen without my make up. Night mare!!

I’ve seen Princess Di wedding, her funeral and now her son’s wedding. Wonder if I’m still alive to see her son’s funeral and the grandchild’s wedding. errrr....

Iman's First Sports Day

I’m glad I took the day off for Iman’s sport’s day. I bring the whole crowd along..my mom, my sis, my daughter. I was about to go mad with my husband when he turned up for Iman’s second game. I feel its significant for parents to attend any of their kid activities unless u really can’t make it. I can recall how many times my parents came to my activities. I know both of them are schedule tight during those days with mom being a teacher herself and my dad was always outstation. Although I understand but as a child I would be very pleased if they were around to see how I soar. 


Iman was so different when he’s in kindie. He was such an obedient boy. He doesn’t jumped around like his friends…he stays put in his line! I couldn’t believe my own eyes! Kat rumah, I practically have to scream out my lung to make him listen to me. From my observation, Iman doesn’t look like someone who will break the rule. Now that’s totally an opposite of me. 


Enjoying my moments at the kindie makes me feel like sending Imanee earlier to kindie. The 4 years old kiddos looked as if they’re having too much fun. How could I deprive my daughter from having such fun kan!! The kids even interact better at that age.


Everybody gets a trophy at the end of the game. The teachers make it fun by grouping the kid according to house color. Although the blue team won but all get the same price. 4 years old gets a smaller trophy, 5 years a medium one whilst the 6 years old gets the tallest trophy. We ended up having pot luck, so many food spread muffin, nugget, cakes, jellys, drumsticks, cookies etc..but like always Iman was only keen on the ‘milo kotak’, even the twister junkies doesn’t attract him. Not a bad event for my 1st time attending a sport day.

or cannot i have to use on weekend so have to be RM80 X 4 = RM320


My tol = RM2 + RM1.60 + RM1 (GO) + RM1.60 = RM6.20 X 25 = 155

Boringggggg...

I was about to jot when all sudden, i felt boringgggggggggggggggggg...the thunder of boring just came blasting thru my forehead.  I COULD NOT HELP IT...i was suppose to do my photobook..but ended up i change my blog layout...this was my previous wall.
