Jahit Je La Manik Sendiri...

Aha..approximately 2 weeks kita akan beraya...tak habis puasa talk about rayakan..Biasa laa nama pun orang Melayu excited raya tu ada lebih sket berbanding bangsa2 lain di benua2 sana. Saja je tengah google2 pattern nak dijahit kat baju.  These days jahit manik perghhhh mahalnya lagi2 si Aso yang jahit bajuku.  Nak suruh maid lama, dia pun busy last2 
kena jahit sendiri.  Dah 2-3 tahun jahit sendiri je. So kat bawah ni ada style2 yang u all boleh try.  Ada yang old style, classic and yang extravanga sket.  Pepandai laa ye.

Short Hair Style for Raya 2011

I didn't go to salon for almost half a year! Just imagine how devastating my hair feels! I need a haircut so since nak raya ni feel like trying out new hairstyle but since its few days away if the hairstyle turns disaster lagi mengharukan! Dah laa rambut pun..ala ala bird feathers je..

Oh...Baju Raya Ku..

Each year, only one baju raya i'll do.  Nak tukar 1st day pun tak sempat, its like going out at 10.30am untuk beraya and only by midnight i reached home so nak tukar mende.  By the second day, i'm already in my jeans and blouse.  Bukan apa, i hardly wear baju kurung / kebaya to office.  Usually i beli baju raya yang orait siap-siap so that i can wear to kenduri or even for hotel functions.  Since i hardly wear, my kurungs and kebayas can last till 7-8 years. Serious babe!


Tah kenapa this year bila je kasut pijak Euromoda tu...mata dah terkelip-kelip dek warna rainbow seantareo kedai. Agaknya kena hembusan setan shopping yang bertenggek kat sign board kedai kot.  In the end, i terjebak, i went and get myself 3 pieces of kain.  Eh..kain kita panggil pieces ke?


Anyway brought to my tailor, kira punya kira harga jahit...mak aiiii dah nak sama harga dengan harga kain ku beli.. Lining dah sepasal then si Aso ni add "Ini kain manyak susah mau jahit..lembut sangat, so mau extra charge lagi".  Eiii..nyesal betul tah kenapa last 2 years i said to myself i'm not gonna take any transparent materials ANYMORE, tak nak beli dry clean punya but itu laaa yang akhirnya ku pilih. "You mau tambah labuci manik?".  Nak tambah mende, tailoring pun nak cecah harga kain.  


Ingat dalam hati, ku suruh je laa Indon jahit manik, last year jahit about RM90 je..then last week masa tengah google2 cari ilham nak kasi design kat si Indon ni..terpaku mata jap tengok design dia buat..mak ai..cun melencung..kalau kasi Indon, jawabnya ratusan laa..3 pasang lagi..kalau paling chokia pun RM150 dah RM450, pergh...in the end i decided to sew the manik myself.  Jangan pandang ku sebelah mata babe, dulu time-time anak dara memang rajin mende-mende ni tapi sejak ada rumah dan tangga, kemalasan bertapak kat minda.

Tema tahun ni green...environmental sket..tapi jahit manik on kain nipis memang lecehnya patut Aso kedai nak mahal...leceh gila...silap haribulan boleh tercarik kain!

Dare To Be Different

I love fashion..but some styles emmmmm...how do i say..maybe i'm not in the "fashionista" category...

Proper Tie Length

Recently i went for a grooming session.  Interesting!  Wanna share some tips with you guys out there.  Will include more in days to come.

The proper length for a tie is for the tip of the wide end to touch the top of your belt.


You do not want it to be long because 
a) if its long, its pointing to ....i'll leave that blank for you to fill it up
b) it might stuck in your fly
c) you might pee on the thing!


You do not want it to be short because
a) because you are not those GQ models, you want to keep it macho not look like a model clown
b) "Too short of a tie makes you look like a rube."
c) Having the tie too short just makes one look heavier


So how many ties you should have in your closet? Lucky number is 10


If you are medium or large build, never buy the thin tie!

Never wear a tie that carries brand!
You're not that brand boutique sales man

nice, this is what you wanna wear

never pick floral motives unless the design is vague like this purple and silver tie

never pick a tie that has more than 4 colors, big design, cartoon are all NO NO in the corporate world
