Sudah Jatuh Ditimpa Tangga
Life..bila datang ujian or musibah, sure datang bergolek-golek cam buah lemon. Last 2 weeks was Nabila, this week was Iman. Kadang-kadang i don't understand people, when your child is down with some fever / measles / viral skin disease or apa-apa laa...why on earth would you let you child goes to school? I feel its totally ignorant. If nursery, i would understand but still wouldn't you want to take care of your sick child. Ini tidak, habis yang lain infected! Of course laa yang first terkena tempias ialah heroku yang kekurangan zat besi, protein, B complex and apa jenis shopping complex yang ada. Gerammmmm....grrr grrr..
Dah 5 days Iman demam, 2 times jumpa paed. The 3rd time paed said "better masuk ward nak rule out denggi since dah 5 days". Letihnya bila i heard that. I feel sorry for Iman, nak ambik darah, pakai drip and dia pun dalam recovering stage. But i need to be assured, it was not denggi. And thank god it wasn't.
I hate hospitals! The environs, the surrounding, the drips,..
You know staying in a ward can creates funny feeling. Kalau one bedded room, toilet dia small je. Ni masuk 4 bedded, pergh...toilet dia besaqqqqqq. Ada 2 set for disposal of human excrement and one shower. Then they have a big mirror. My habit, bila terjaga tengah malam nak kena pi toilet, kadang2 takde keluar apa pun agaknya saja nak make my butt feel fresh against the toilet seat hahahaa...Anyway back to my story, bila mana terjaga at 3am, the mass of air surrounding the room was pretty quiet. I mean damn quiet! And with its subdued lighting. So bila I sit, my brain starts to form mental images of things or events apalagi kalau bukan drama-drama Korea. Mula laa terasa ada tangan yang memanjang ke dalam toilet, oooooooo....Emotionally i was pretty disturbed! Geng, imanku walau tak senipis kulit bawang tapi ada laa setebal kulit timun. Huhuhu, seram siot...pastu terasa ada rambut panjang menjalar kat belakang leher dari arah atas...my god, tak tahan. Nak lari keluar, malu. Nak jerit lagi laa malu, jalan laa ala-ala masuk Olympic, masa nak keluar ternampak gak kaki orang tengah duduk kat toilet sebelah. Went back to bed, boleh pulak TV tak tutup, TV3 tengah siar gambar bomoh and nenek kebayan...Sabar je laaaaaaaaaaaa
Hospital's Food, what do you expect? Healthy food mana nak sedap, tapi boleh laa cover perut yang asyik menganga tu. Baked beans, scramble eggs, 2 breads and tomatoes with cucumber. Of course my mind starts travelling to my weekend english breakfast yang biasa i buat, those things are on the list but it comes with mayo and mustard, not forgetting sausages, fries/hash brown, creamy baked beans which i added cheese plus instant coselaw..tiba-tiba saat melayan mulut and otak yang tengah proses my breakfast, Iman calls upon me...
"MUMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, NAK BERAK!"
Well there goes my breakfast in bed. Inilah pengorbanan seorang ibu. Iman, you better read this post so that you'll be ready in 30 years to come when i call
"Imannnnnnnnnnnn, mummy nak berak!"
My goes to drain breakfast
Balik...yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

What A Bad Mummy I am :-(
Nabila, 3 days in a row, 3 times a day. Days filled with Nebulizer.
I never thought my girl would need gas. She was quite healthy for the past 2 years.
Hardly had any fever, flu or cough. So it came as a surprise for me when the GP said she got early symptoms of astma. None of our families had it before so takde kesedaran pasal sakit ni at all. Tak pernah ambik tau.
Bila all these happened, it makes me recall how i had taken things slightly easy with my daughter. Rasa bersalah betul. With Nabila, i tak berapa mandikan with air panas, unlike Iman. Nabila doesn't sleep with a blankie and not even with socks on. When I put on, she reluctant in the end i just forgo. Hardly pantang makanan Nabila, why? She loves to eat, i didn't see any harm in it. She sleeps under the fan and sometimes with the aircond on. She loves outdoor, main dirt is like playing PlayDoh. Always love to main air, basah-basah baju. Kadang-kadang tak berbaju sebab she doesn't want to wear. Ice-cream selalu. Orang minum air ais, she wants to chew the ice! Keropok Ikan terenganu tu favourite, everyday! I guess all those lil things lead to her early symptoms.
Adoi terasa what a bad mother I am. Perhaps i was too focus on Iman's health that i terlalai nak tengokkan si adik. Sorry sangat sayang. People, don't repeat my mistakes!
From now on, no more ice, no ice cream, no grapes, no oranges, no chips, no keropok ikan, socks on every nite, no aircond, no playing with water, mandi warm water saja..etc...Now Nabila is on Singulair, Butylin and Zyrtec for 21 days. Siannya anak mummy huhuhu..hopefully tak sampai ke astma.

Don't Sit On Your Wallet
I got this mail from my bro..
Please share this with your husbands, fathers, brothers and male friends.
Your wallet can be real pain for your back and the buttocks, and it can
even lead to shooting pains down the legs. Sitting on a wallet for
prolonged hours every day can compress sciatic nerve which passes beneath
piriformis muscle and leads to piriformis syndrome, low back pain &
self-inflicted sciatica.
The wallet acts as a wedge that forces the pelvis,
spine and body out of alignment. Just as you would not sit on a brief case
or a rock for an extended period of time, you should not sit on your
wallet. Anyone who drives more than a half hour sitting on a wallet, is a
candidate for sciatica or back pain.
The healthiest option is to move the wallet to your front pocket. If it's
must to keep your wallet in your back pocket, you should remove it before
you sit down.

WHEN HUMAN BECOME TOO GREEDY
Never did I thought human can go to this extend. Yes, we do cloning. Yes, we do imitation, we copycat, duplicate, impersonate. We are given brain and oh yes, we’re quite an expert when come to using it. I'm talking about the fake eggs yup yup telur ayam tiruan. I read about did 6 months ago but never realized it could actually landed in my country. And now it did! Yes our health minister has confirmed its not a ‘fake egg’, its genuine. Even some news claimed as a hoax.
But as far as I concern, I believe its fake. Why do I say that?
Case1: If it’s so genuine why does he has to go all the way and request for a stamping on each egg. Do you think the farmer come the seller wants to sit and employ people to stamp each egg? Hello, every farm would produce at least 10,000 egg per day make it 5,000. It’s a huge number! Money involves babe! But because it is actually a true case of “fake”, the minister needs to ensure he doesn’t swallow the fake one as well! Its just that OUR Malaysian’s style, “Don’t make the people PANIC!”. Simple example, news soar about sugar price rising already making the whole spread of Malaysia's stores out of sugar. Petrol price fuel hikes, we're like ants queueing up. So if its a fake egg?? Boleh bangkrap tokey ayam.
Case2: Health Minister again said clearly on the news “Confirmed genuine, but the size is slightly bigger and not supposed to be sold in Malaysian market! Aikkk… strangeeeeee….ought not be sold? So why its in our market? If its big, its should be good, why we can’t have it??
Case3: China and Malaysia is only 4 hours via air. Even drugs can leak thru why can’t eggs which is “genuine”?? and you know what they say about China Product??..all things are fake excepttttt...ehem ehem??
I REST MY CASE.
p/s: note for my mom. Mak, bila beli teloq ayam pilih yang banyak taik ayam sket sure confirm tulen.

Continuation of MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM
As promise earlier, i'm updating about Nabila. We're tried the Aldara cream. It works but slow. Fucidin on the other hand was quite useless for me. I was really anxious to see some result so beside the cream we tried few other traditional method since the dermatologist said it will take months or even up to 2 years for her to heal so why not?
My parents tried putting on kulit jering. Jering also scientifically known as Pithecellobium Jiringu or Archidendron jiringa (Jack) I. C. Nielsen. We tried for 2 weeks and it works but the molluscum still comes back. But at least i got faster solution as compared to Aldara cream. We grind the skin and mix with water. It was later applied on the affected area.
Somehow jering wasn't good enough for me. I was worried as the molluscum is spreading up to her chin and cheek. So i check other alternatives. I went to Darul Syifa' at Kg Baru, Jalan Daud. They requested me to bring star fruit leaves and gambir on my next visit. The two items were grind and mix together which create a paste. Diaorg ada bacakan doa in the mineral water. So the paste plus mineral water was applied on Nabila.

Unbelievable, it works tremendously well. You can see result in 24hours. Booming! No kidding! The molluscum desiccated without making the area dry and itchy. Wonderful right. So i stop using Aldara. I used the paste in the morning and afternoon while at night i tried using Derma-X by Healin. In 2 1/2 weeks time, we managed to get rid all molluscum on Nabila. It was a cheap and successful remedy! Happy trying :-)
WITHOUT A DOUBT, the paste works wonders! I believe all skin disease can try this, no harm in trying right?
Other namesfor Jering: Djenkol Bean, Jaring, Jaring-jaring, Jengkol hutan, Jenkol, Jering altut, Tutung (local names in various dialects of Borneo), djenkol (Indonesia), krakos (Cambodia), niang-yai (Thailand)

Dry Skin - My Solution
My legs are always dry! From the knee till the ankle. I do not know why. Perhaps lack of water, my own assumption. Or maybe i have mild eczema. No idea but it keeps on coming back which irritates me because i feel itchy and my gatal fingers will always garu garu garu until i feel satisfied. On several occasion, i even scrub my legs with salt. I tried so many creams on the shelves. I think i covered almost 70% of body cream/lotion in Guardian. My credit goes to Rosken Dry Cream in white and blue packaging. Thats the best! You can see result in 4-5days time. The smell is acceptable, And you only need a size of 20cent to cover one whole leg. It keeps you moisturize whole day.
Body Shop~Body Butter a so-so, of course the smell is great but only moisturize the skin for few hours. Same goes with Johnson&Johnson. Its too mild. But i love the smell. The lotion texture is as smooth as the baby skin.
Others like the Perfume Lotion, they should be used before you spray on the perfume. It makes the perfume last longer but heck it doesn't do anything to your skin. Basically just to spice you up.
Happy Hunting For Your Faves Lotion!

MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM
Tiny bumps appeared on nabila’s chest, slightly below her neck. Nampak macam berair but its not. That was about 6 months ago. I brush it off as I thought its just heat rashes. On her 1 year immunization jab, I queried her paed. Nothing he said, just some allergies. Agreed, I remembered when I consume chicken during confinement, Nabila dapat rashes on her face. Plus she doesnt feel itchy. So case closed.
But the rashes became visible as days go by. Consulted another paed. Same conclusion. Allergy and not even excema. They’ll go away as she grows. With 2 paed’s view, I snubbed the issue.
One fine day, brought Nabila to a GP, Klinik Idzham for diaper rashes. The doc applied some cream. Then tah kenapa, I tergerak hati nak ask the doc whether her diaper rash has something to do with her neck rashes. She said NOPE. Her neck is not rashes at all. That very day, I discovered Nabila got MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM. According to the doc, it’s a virus! What a shock! What do you expect? I brought Nabila to 2 paeditrician and both of them gave the same speech! She gave a referral for dermatologist @ skin specialist and be quick!
Before seeing the dermatologist, I did some surfing on the net. I found more disturbing articles. Most cases happened to HIV patients. Heck, I’m pretty emotionally stressed. Me and my hubby are far free from the disease and Bila herself never did any blood transfusion. Days seem like months before we’re were able to meet the dermatologist. For sure you can expect my very first question to that dermatologist. Are all confirmed patients of molluscum contagiosum are HIV?? Tuhan je laa tau my heart pumping rate. The expert just smiled and asked me not to get excited. Only adult who have these are suspected carrier of sexually transmitted disease (STD). Imagine the relief I got! Alhamdullilah. The expert said Nabila might contacted the virus at the swimming pool. Reason being, she has not gotten all immunization yet and has a mild eczema. Menyesal pun ada bringing her for swimming.
She said its not even dangerous or serious cuma tak cantik. We got 2 alternatives.. cream or laser treatment. The cream treatment takes longer which could go to about 6 months before it heals properly. The ALDARA cream which caused us about RM300 which comes in ‘cute’ sachet of 12. Well with a cream of RM300 that last 12days or another opt is laser treatment, don’t you call that SERIOUS???? Adoi, sabar je laa..She gave Fucidin for day time cream.
I was dividing one sachet for 2 days. Its been 24 days now and seen some sign of improvement but surely I got to be patient. Weird part was that these days she tends to feel itchy and regularly scratching before that takde pun. My parents suggested we brought Nabila mandi laut. Did that and it helps! The bumps mengecut sikit. Definitely next year onwards we’ll be going to beaches regularly. Then the net gave me some info on tea tree oil, so im experimenting with that as well. Till then, i have to patiently wait for another 6 months time. Heal fast sayang..
So dear parents if you have any type of disease, rashes or apa2 je laa..get more that 2 head counts opinion. PERIOD!
