Teddy & Friends Day Out 2011

Yep..apa kebenda laaa title blog ni kan?  Well i need to share with you parents out there.  
Its a treasure hunt for kids!  Well its more than that.  Its actually to raise funds for The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM). Ticket is RM35 per kid!  It was my first time and i regretted for not bringing Nabila along. 


I love treasure hunt!  Kalau office punya memang tak pernah miss join.  My team even won first prize! (chewah boastful sket ye hehhee).  Anyway i thought this would be great to create some interest for my boy.

12 June 2011, started at 7:30am but we arrived at 8.30am hehehe..
Upon registered, they gave me a goodie bag.  Wahhhh Iman was so excited, mana tak macam2 they put in the bag...let me think..magic color, pencil color, pencil, binocular, drinking cup, 
story book...Famous Amos cookies, sweets! Coupon voucher from Dome..apa lagi yek, dah lupa!

Color contest begins. As long as you can finish before 12:30 then you'll able to run for the contest. Tapi yang dasyatnya ada bunch of kids came i think solely for the color contest. They brought their own crayons and get this..and even TABLE untuk lapik kertas color tu!! yes you read me correctly.  Ni kes nak menang betul.  So if u intend to win, do the same else just let 'em add color to the paper.  Lagi rainbow lagi cun!

Hunt begins at 9:30am... quite interesting.  Mummy iman yang lagi excited.  Clues dia memang easy for kids. The kids need to count number of teddy pegged.  Then there were few alphabets along the way for kids to come out with an animal that represent the letter.  Then they have animal images for kids to figure out the name.  

Then cari hanging teddy on the tree. I pun siap laa tercangak-cangak tengok atas pokok, mana laa hidden teddy since they gave the kids binoculars.  Alih-alih punya laa tinggi benar, tinggi atas kepala i je!!  But Iman was agog over the binocular!

Breakfast was sponsored.  Sambil bertreasure hunt, you stop at some station to get the breakfast.  Our first stop was for O'Briends sandwich...plus Ribenna.  Next was 1905 Hot Dog.  Perghhhh canggih, breakfast pun sedap!

Tour almost 50% of the park.  Pergh berpeluh gak laa ketiak and perut ku.  Iman? Well he doesn't seem to be tired at all!  Hungry pun tak!

By 11:30, we're back into KLCC Convention Centre.  Sambung color..then macam2 games available for kids to try out.  Games ala2 golf, bowling with coconut, basketball treats..ada face painting, sand art, foam stickers..puas sangat laa for children to play.

This round kena bawa plush toys.  Towards the end of the event, they picked the 'coolest, canggih, cantik' teddy laa..we brought the smallest and easy to carry. Senang lekat kat seluar Iman je.

Sib baik laa ada friends

Every game played kalau menang dapat hadiah mana budak tak suka kan..

All in all, i give 5 stars!  Tahun depan bawak laa anak korang ye ;-)

I'll be bringing Nabila next year, insyallah.


Oh before lupa ..i love the magic color yang Faber Castell kasik...smooth..and kalau tak betudung for few minutes pun the color is still great plus the paper doesn't get drenched when colored!  Ada lagi, dia ada number on the magic color which makes it great to teach the little one for color copy...

Nabila lagi creative..terus jadi cutex!

Sometimes...I Become Too Greedy

Tamak Haloba....i belong to that category yesterday! I bought the photobook offer again!
No doubt is one darn good bargain.  RM145 for a 15"x11" size.  So why aren't i satisfied??
Just because i already bought myself RM99 voucher earlier in Dec10 and till todate i have started only 5% of the project.  Right before that, i hooked myself up with another album promo somewhere Oct10..which i paid a deposit.  Not even started on that.  Thank god it was not a hefty amount, if let go pun still ok.  


I dont know why when it comes to bargain/sales/promo...its like a big currant pulling me along..urghhh....feel like giving me a slap!!  Over and over i kept telling myself never to be dragged into this manipulation scheme feeling of mine again and yet i always let myself down!

Dry Skin - My Solution

My legs are always dry!  From the knee till the ankle.  I do not know why.  Perhaps lack of water, my own assumption.  Or maybe i have mild eczema.  No idea but it keeps on coming back which irritates me because i feel itchy and my gatal fingers will always garu garu garu until i feel satisfied.  On several occasion, i even scrub my legs with salt.  I tried so many creams on the shelves.  I think i covered almost 70% of body cream/lotion in Guardian. My credit goes to Rosken Dry Cream in white and blue packaging.  Thats the best! You can see result in 4-5days time.  The smell is acceptable, And you only need a size of 20cent to cover one whole leg. It keeps you moisturize whole day.

Body Shop~Body Butter a so-so, of course the smell is great but only moisturize the skin for few hours.  Same goes with Johnson&Johnson.  Its too mild.  But i love the smell. The lotion texture is as smooth as the baby skin.

Others like the Perfume Lotion, they should be used before you spray on the perfume.  It makes the perfume last longer but heck it doesn't do anything to your skin.  Basically just to spice you up.

Sticker Time With Nabila

I can’t remember when I introduce stickers to Iman. He enjoyed every bit of it and I have many sticker books around. It enhances their motor skills by pulling and pasting the stickers. Its another method of learning rather than just direct reading. Nabila started yesterday, she’s 1 ½ year. Was is too late? I don’t know but im glad she can paste although pulling out the sticker was a bit tricky for her.

I feel as parents we should just let our kids venture into apa apa je laa…we should not strict them to a certain age group. I remembered when Iman started on jigsaw puzzle, I always bought simple puzzles until one day I spotted him finishing the simple puzzle in few minutes. Gradually I picked puzzles which are above his age.

Kids are like sponge, they absorb as long and as much as they can. Amazing! So don’t look down on them, they are actually better than what we think. Of course we have to give them ample opportunities to show us.


With Nabila I felt terrible as these days I didn’t make time to sit and read with her. So this week, my schedule would be “Sticker Time with Bila".  I have many range of sticker books..from ABC to machines to nursery rhyme..trust me you should get the ABC, the first words.. better still, get 'em all hehehe

Mild Eczema

Nabila has mild eczema. I wasn’t aware earlier on although during confinement she developed bad rashes on her face when I consumed chicken. Since then, I stopped Johson&Johnson and started to use Sebamed as its more gentle on her skin.

Anyway, starting last month I’ve started to use Melaleuca, It has a complete line of wellness products. I’ve tried the Koala Pals Tear-Free Body Wash and Koala Pals Tear-Free Hair Wash for Nabila. Its actually similar to Sebamed but Sebamed liquid is much thicker. For a 325ml bottle, the price is quite reasonable. Using only natural ingredients such as coconuts, oats, vitamin E, aloe vera, and chamomile, it leaves a delicious fruity scents.

Melaleuca products are tea tree oil based, and have no harsh chemicals or additives in them. So its not harmful to the eco system, and nothing in these products will hurt even after they end up in the septic systems. Knowing that this product is safe, I’m don’t have to worry if Nabila swallows the bubbles or the water as no harmful chemicals that could cause her to become ill and that’s part of the reason why I’ve willing to try out in the first place. Forgot to mention but if im not mistaken, this an Australian product

Lagu Kanak Kanak

Every night I will sing my children to sleep. The song can be my own lullabies which goes like…”Bila nak boom boom, Bila laa hendak boom boom..sayang….”, nursery rhymes or even reciting surah.

One fine day, my husband commented that I should introduce some malay rhymes nanti anak-anak tak tahu pun ada lagu-lagu melayu. So I visited MPH and gosh..its sooo hard to find books on lagu kanak-kanak. Kalau ada yang nice, its way too expensive for lagu kanak-kanak I felt. Cari punya cari I jumpa this one book. Cheap, nice, simple and clear. The colors are bright. Children pun easy to follow

My Bottom, Mummy!

Well i want to introduce a cream, bukan cream muka but cream 'bontot' yikes obscene laa pulak it sounds ye.  Well its actually for baby bottom!  I nak introduce because my kids have been using it for the past 4 years..coming to 4 years. 

It heals fast.  Gentle on baby bottom.  Its thick and creamy but u just need to apply thin layer.  Nappy rash or even kita punya crack nipple masa breastfeed pun boleh guna.
