I'm A SuperWoman

I feel like a superwoman yesterday. Right after sahur, I started preparing to do cookies @ Biskut Nestum for Raya. Acting like a pro. I mixed all ingredients confidently and only to find out I added extra ½ cup of nestum into the mixture without realizing it was suppose to be for decoration purposes. Duhh!

Due to that I had to add another butter and got to wait for the butter to soften in order to knead the dough. While waiting I started my second blog @ business blog. Around 8.30 I continue with the dough, 9.00am I was out to the playground with my kids till 10.00. At 10.30am, I continue baking the cookies. Around 12:30 had my shower and at the same time CUCI KAIN! My Temp maid was sicked and didn’t turn up last Thursday.

at the park tepi mrr2 near ampang point
By 3pm I was out to Pavilion with my family. I didn’t expect Pavilion will be clouded with people. Rozy, Billabong, Pumkin Patch, Gap, Guess, Mothercare..most boutiques we went were packed….i thought people are done shopping since its just 2 weeks away from Raya and these boutiques were no longer on sale. Regardless of the price, orang beli baju macam beli ikan. I guess coz its for Raya. Anyway I’m glad we were able to grab some items and managed to finish shopping 90% for Raya. Rushing home by 7pm for berbuka. Tuck Nabila into bed at 9, only by 11 everything seems to settle down. Pergh..what a day. I had a FUNtastic day with my family. Thank you God. Amin.

My 5th Anniversary

This year for the 1st time we didn’t celebrate our anniversary. No cards, no gifts, no dinner, nothing! All of us in the house were sicked. Started with Nabila then Iman then it was me thereafter my Mom, next was my Dad continued with my husband and the last one was my sis. Everyone was vomiting and having diarrhea. It has been a week now, my son is still exhausted and basically he got no energy to play his Thomas set. I’m kindda worried. I really hope he can recover by tomorrow. To celebrate my anniversary would be meaningless if my children aren’t well. They are the most expensive asset in my entire life. A designer bag, a diamond bracelet or a luxury dinner treat would not bring any happiness if Iman or Nabila are still lying on the bed

Shoe For Tiny Fit

Em...i just fell in luv with these shoes.. macam nak order but for USD48 and with the 'unsure feeling' whether they'll fit well with Bila..makes me decide not to..but for those risk taker..go ahead. Splurge yourself hehehe..anak pun sorang je kan. I'm the devil right now..muahahaha

Happy Birthday Nabila

Imanee Nabila turned 1 on 21 March 2010. We throw her birthday party at Tiara Beach Resort, Port Dickson.

Throwing a party elsewhere then your house can be a challenging experience. I had to make proper planning so that the party wont get spoilt. Since it was in PD, I got to bring cd player, scissors, celetope, ropes..segala macam yang remeh temeh la. With so many things to get done, I knew a checklist would come in handy.

From booking the hotels, the caterers, handing the invitations to ordering cake, I did alone. Pergh letih dibuatnya. Bring the cake to the hotel was one thing. I need to make sure the cake doesn’t melt and able to last by 8.30pm.

In order to save budget I didn’t order from the hotel. Ye la, hotel rooms for families of Kak Lang, Kak Ngah, Kak Cik, my parents in law, my parent and my siblings je dah berapa. Mau bangkrap, if we ordered from the hotel.

We picked that hotel because its family-oriented, the pools are meant for children. The pools are from feet level up to the 5feet. Ada few slides for the children to enjoy. So its pretty fun activity for them and it was just a distance from KL. So everybody able to make for the trip. The room was so so je la, dont expect too much.

Tips1: Dalam kelam kabut, I left some of the party deco at home. So the big banner wasn’t there. Frustrated with that, my sis popped up an idea, she used the table plastic cover as the banner. It turns out to be great, big and the best part its cheap!! Dari nak spend $49.90 on 2ftx2ft banner, I got a 5ftx2ft banner for the price of $6.90.

Tips2: Buy deco at Toy r us, way more cheaper than normal birthday shop. Balloons, just buy them at tesco. But if you got the budget for the balloons, go to birthday shop and they prepare balloons in a very nice way.

Wish: Next birthday, if I decide to do at home and have the budget, I wanna get Clown who does magic for the children. Mesti syok kan!

invitation card, design sendiri ok dak?

moist choc cake by Secret Recipe, i dont really prefer the cake but thats the only cake that can last without putting in the fridge

Office Corner At Home

I have a living hall upstairs. The space is large enough to accommodate 2 queen size beds and 2 single beds. Everyday when I climbed up the stairs, the first thing I saw is the tv cabinet with all the stacking boxes on top of it. SAKIT MATA betul! I need to refurbish the whole area but right now I don’t have the budget.

I plan to divide into 2 different sides. One is an office corner while another would be the relax spot area. Since my main living hall is a neutral color so for this area, I wanna make it colorful and lively. I wanna do a built in cabinet for the office corner, the writing table would be in the middle of the hall. So that I can use both sides of the table. I’m going to buy an L shape sofa with various colors of throw cushions so whoever lepak there can watch the tv and read books comfortably.

Though the plan is for next year, I better find sources from now. I wanna share what inspires me with all of you and be sure, there’ll be more to come. Enjoy!

Hairstyle For Raya

I’m just gonna spend a moderate amount of cash on my hair. Unlike before where I forked a fortune on my locks, this year its going to be different. I’m going to save on this part and spend on another hahahhaa.. you must have thought that I’m gonna save up right! Masa kecik-kecik, my raya would be in Sg Petani, Kedah. I dunno whether it’s a trend during those time or its just my family’s trend. After Raya prayers and visiting the graves, all the ladies and girls namely all the aunties and cousins, we will go to this one saloon and make our hairs. Thereafter we will start our convoy to all the makcik, pakcik and tok nenek’s house. Your hair would be ‘per FIT’ for the whole day, love it. Well those were the days, this year I’m going to cut short well probably not so short but short enough to make a different.

State of my hair
24-08-2010: Long, unruly, no style, dull, boring, it has becoming wavy since I keep on making a bun almost every day at home
10-09-2010: The magic has yet to be discovered. Ahaks!

Which style should I choose?? Em..let me see…im aiming for

A - Sexy but the fringe em..don’t think I can go around with that..

B – Safe but look messy all the time

C – Almost the same style I had previously

D – emmmm…

E – This would be a U layered cut, I maintain my length but almost like my sister

F – Paris Hilton, school girl cut

G – I love this but would it be too short?

H – This is far more safer and nice kan..might go for this

I – Years back I got this style and it look pretty ok on me..

J – Ni ada laa style for raya kan…but this would cost extra than wut I budgeted…

Headband Missing In Action

I luv to see my girl wearing headband, clips, hair elastics ..in other words wuteva things that could stay on her hair / head hehehe.. but sadly Nabila able to wear those accessories for about 30mins or so.  Last 2 weeks, we went to KLCC for Lunch at California Pizza.  I'm eyeing the headband most of the time.  Thereafter we headed to Raoul, the bags were on sale.  Jadi crazy tengok lotsa bags yg cun melencun but then my hubby just gave me one.  Should not spend on necessary rite.  Then we went to Zara, Isetan, Mom's Care, Braun Buffel..and after 4 hours of rambling and about to exit from the car park..i go..
Me           : Yang, did you see Bila's headband?
My Hubby: Apesal? Its on her head masa i stroll her to the escalator
Me           : When was that?
My Hubby: Masa nak masuk KLCC ler
Me           : Masa kat California Pizza?
My Hubby: Tah ler..
Conversation Closed.

Huhuhu..tah mana hilang, i love the headband.  Its simple and pretty.  Its a pink headband with diamond studs.  Macam ballerina style. Darn!

Below are some of the headbands which i luv to buy but they're not available in Bumi Malaysia, ladies if you know the place, do let me know.

Boy Meets Girl

I was often asked how my husband and I met.  So here goes the story.... Once a upon a time, infront of the Selangor Golf Club, Jalan Ampang at the T junction traffic light while waiting for the green light to give signal, a guy gave a flash glance at me along with a cheeky smile.  Yup, we're both in our cars while he's the driver, i'm the passenger at the other end.

The green light blinked, shift the gear into 2 and the engine vrooms away. We were side by side, glimpsing at each other.  Yup, still in the car.

Getting to Kg Pandan roundabout, he was about to split towards Sg Besi / Cheras while i'm heading into Kg Pandan. As we were about to pass his car, with great impetus his buddy put out his hand and right there and then we saw a card on his hand.  And within this split seconds, my friend Sharifah @ the driver managed to grabbed hold to the card and speed off.

I'm not sure what to do with the card, as odd as it sounds...that month alone i got many invites from guys.  Some i went out, some i turn down and some i didnt bother to return call / hello.  Should i call? Well Sya said call up!

Actually, i had just ended a relationship with a jerk. Call him moron, fool, dunce, dolt, idiot whatever that listed in the google search under that phrase can be credited to him.  So i was pretty sick of guy and i even vowed not to have a steady and loyal relationship anymore.

I just decide to go dates, to have fun, ..u are not attached, you got your own world to think about and yet you still have fun with the opposite sex.  And yet of course, the minute you pledge to be this way, whateva that you're not looking for, comes knocking on your soul door...

Coffee Bean Ampang Point was our first point of contact.  There were 5 of us.  3 guys and 2 girls.  We chatted and we clicked as a group.  Hence we started going out places as a group.  These guys really know how to entertain us.  We had blasting activities with 'em.

Me and my hubby, we didnt head straight to become couple.  We've become good friends...yup almost 2 years.  We go out to clubs, concerts, movies, playing pools, bowlings, lepakking and many many more dates..We go outing a lot and heck we had barrel of fun. It was what i wanted, no string attached.

And after that 2 wonderful years as friends together, he finally ask the question. Huh macam nak kawin rite.  Well this is just a proposal to become a formal boyfriend and gilfriend..hehehehe. just like school time.  Boy it was hard to say yes, i was in Bangkok most of the time while he was in Port Dickson.

But fate will always be fate.  How we met, how we started. Was it coincidence?

Soon we became lovers.  We coupled for 2 years.  You know when you're in a relationship at a mature age, things are different. You don't become 'belangkas', you don't hold hands all the time, you don't make calls all the time.. Its all more realistic, sensible, calm and still it can be a lovey dovey relationship.  This is far the best relationship i had.  We hardly bergaduh!  I mean my 'boyfriend' is quite a patient man or perhaps he just mellows when it comes to me..

Our usual spots would be Bora Ombak (the old place, behind habib Ampang Point), Coffee Bean Mont Kiara, Dome's KLCC, Baja Cafe Taman Dagang (*sigh* closed down :-( ), The Hills Wangsa Maju (wonder if its still operates). We go clubbing at Planet Hollywood. Its pratically our hanging place every week. Ni pun dah closed huhuhu.. Such memories.. I'll cherish them forever.

I was at a complete shock when he asked me whether his mother can come by and meet my mum. Me: "For what?" "Well to become my bride of course". Shit, this is serious. I was flushing and sweating. Wanna know why? well when everytime a guy popped out the "Question", i will eventually leave him. Why? Entah ler..wedding freak? Dunno but this time i was ready and i'm so glad i got enough senses to say "Let me ask my mom first" hahhhahaa.. Sunggah unromanticnya kan.. but hey with the candles and wind blowing smoothly across our faces at that time, it was a blissful and romantic nite.

Funny how it started, we were on our separate ways.  We bumped on each other.  Then it was me and him.  Then we become one and now we became 4.  I'm glad and thankful for this years of delightful journey. We'll be celebrating our 5th anniversary in few days time.  Praying all the way that i'm able to share and experience my life with him for the next 70 years to come.  We'll be 105 by that time.

Yang, if you're happen to read this one day, I'm blogging this so that we always have this tucked away somewhere, to always remember how we began

Muackksss....

Girls Clothing

I know most mommies are ecstatic when they are told that they gonna get a baby girl kan. Aha, don't deny :-).  I'm sure some of you are starting to dream about having those ballerina shoes, the sassy pink cardigan, the knitted pattern hat with yellow and blue flower decorating at the side of the hat, the cute slimy legging and needless to say more.  End of Chapter.

When i went shopping for Nabila's arrival, i felt there were'nt so many choices of clothing for baby girl.  Balik balik pink, balik balik pinkTrue the designs were different but the colors i mean basically its 90% pink!  I prefer baby boy's clothing.  But now as she's turning 1 1/2 year, the clothes are coming into style.

Waiting for Bila to turn 3, i wanna adorn her with these funky tees.  Stylo Myllo sket.  Most of the time i shop at Pumpkin Patch.  Dunno why but its colorful and cute! Most of the brands are quite common in their design thus i prefer to check out the small smal boutiques around town.  These boutiques offer styles, colors, and designs which you hardly find in most of the common brands.

Lagu Kanak Kanak

Every night I will sing my children to sleep. The song can be my own lullabies which goes like…”Bila nak boom boom, Bila laa hendak boom boom..sayang….”, nursery rhymes or even reciting surah.

One fine day, my husband commented that I should introduce some malay rhymes nanti anak-anak tak tahu pun ada lagu-lagu melayu. So I visited MPH and gosh..its sooo hard to find books on lagu kanak-kanak. Kalau ada yang nice, its way too expensive for lagu kanak-kanak I felt. Cari punya cari I jumpa this one book. Cheap, nice, simple and clear. The colors are bright. Children pun easy to follow

Rasa Sayang*Can Ma Li Can*Kereta Kecil Warna Merah*Enjit Enjit Semut*Lompat Si Katak Lompat*Anak Kambing Saya*Anak Itik Tok Wi*Burung Kakak Tua (ni favourite anak I, she can mimic the bird and nenek so well)

Macaroni And Cheese

Ni recipe routine my mom for my children, kalau tak buat ni she will do macaroni with tomato soup..Simple and easy.  You can either bake or fry.  Selalu i buat 2 cups je, so pepandai you all laa campur tolak recipe tu ye :-)

if we straight cook, it will turn something like this; just exclude the flour

this one added with bread (potong jadi cube kecik2); same exclude the flour and add bread

ni result kalau kita bake

Going On A Trip..

When I got married, I told my husband that we need to go for holiday every year.

It’s a MUST.

I believe it will add spice to our marriage life and remove all the negative energy or stress that we’re having. Its time for us to relax. I make a point to go on trip 3 times a year. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a short holiday 2D 1N or near to our home, as long as its out from the house.

Having small children can be quite tricky when you’re planning for a trip. Dengan susu, dengan diapers, dengan ubat2 and cream; sooo many things to bring sometimes makes u feel sooo hard to go for long holidays / far places. Boleh hilang mood wooo.. This year I baru go one place, kena cover lagi 2 places. I got free voucher to pangkor. So planning to go within this Raya festive. Tapi dengan nak naik bot, dengan nak bawa stroller, susu and diapers makes me feel..adoi susah aje. I mean if normal hotel, u’ll just bring the bags rite to the front door, ni nak kena drag naik turun boat. Pergh..mencabarnya!!

So I berazam nak buat macam some people where they just GO FOR IT. Tak usah dok pikir bab susah nak bawa barang, bab makanan ada or not, bab bilik comfortable or not. BE POSTIVE, REDAH SUDAH!

Ist time main pasir nih...excited habis Iman

Avillion ni memang relaxing for couples or families.  Dia siap ada mini zoo, so quite fun for children.  Then ada few activies macam monyet panjat poko kelapa and after that we get to drink from the coconut, pastu ada cak lempong ada laa few more..tak ingat.  Try browse the website, food dia pun delicious...strongly recommended!

Help, You Are Torturing Me!

I really really HATE when I read something related to torturing women and kids. This week we have 2 incidents where one lady and daughter was brutally slashed by husband and another where the husband poured acid on her and her children.

HELLO LADIES… if you are in this situation, CABUT, BLAH, CHOW, GET OUT, RUN AWAY. Nak tunggu apa? A true husband is someone who not only loves you but appreciate you, value your opinion, hormat you as his wife, the mother of his children and a daughter of his inlaws!

Kadang2 tak mesti kena pukul, simple statement macam “Bodoh laa kau ni, tu pun tak boleh buat”. This is considered as abusive tau. Ni mentally tortured secara slowly.

If your husband/father/brother or even boyfriend makes you feel less of yourself ….buat kita rasa rendah diri tu dah dikira part of torturing.

Sekali dia naik tangan, dia akan repeat! Kalau dah few times kena sepak terajang, let your family and friends know. Nothing to be ashamed off. Get help!

Kalau tahap, he threatens to bunuh or pour acid then go to the police! I know its easier said then done but if tak start bila lagi? Like the 2 cases, their husband had given warning signs so when the signs are there, ACT! If not children akan jadi victim.

Remember, these abusive behaviours only happen when you allow it to happen.

SO JANGAN SILENT AND KEEP TO YOURSELF. DO SOMETHING. ACT NOW.

Love yourself before you love others.

The Talker

The delightful speech and kooky mistakes of our children are a wonder to behold. Their silly sentences and words mana datang pun tak tahu.

They will concoct wild words just because they're so much fun to say . Anak I selalu cakap I’m a gingasour..which to him it means he’s a big dinasour with Ben10 features.

Sure, its not making sense but its funny sometimes to hear them say it out.

My phone conversation last week with Iman

Abandoned Babies

Lately banyak pulak kes buang baby. I ni walau asal pun tak suka budak tapi masih pencinta haiwan jadi secara tak langsung menjadi pencinta manusia gak la. :-)

I mean for crying out loud, kalau nak buang tu, cari laa tempat yang sesuai sikit. Nak throw rubbish pun ada different places to dump plastic/glass/others. Masa kecik2 kalau pet I mati, I siap balut dengan kain/tisu before tanam. Kesian nak tanam gitu je. Nak cari tempat tanam pun cari yang elok sket, jauh dari tong sampah. Kucing pun kalau orang nak buang, siap pi cari tempat dia senang makan. And yet this is HUMAN!

Babies are simply thrown in drains, rubbish bin and even worst sewage! Sometimes I wonder why, if they don’t plan to keep the baby why take the trouble to go thru the pregnancy period. Bukan kejap, lama tu 9 months. Abort je laa after all you are planning to make a sin pun. Terpikir gak, only lately these cases happened, dulu2 takde pun I mean 6-10years back.

Could it be because we’re having so many ‘pendatang’? I remember about my cousin’s maid who got pregnant while her husband is still in Jawa. Oh yes, you all mesti keep on thinking kat mana ‘projek’ berlaku? Well go figure.

Macam2 kerajaan/media give solution. For me, I feel if we have a pet, indirectly we are fostering positive values in our kids. Rasa caring, sayang and responsible tu akan slowly evolve in them. To solely depends on pelajaran agama saja tak cukup because yang buat semuanya aware it’s a big sin.

Waiting for my Nabila to reach 5 years old, I’m planning to get a kitten for her. Now we have Maya at home. Maya dah tua, BKU @binatang kurang upaya. She’s partially blind and my daughter just adores her.

Gambah kat bawah ni a bit gruesome so those pregnant mommies, AVOID LOOKING AT IT

Just A Simple Day At The Park

Nama pun budak2..lari keliling padang dah good enuff for 'em.  These moments pun dah cukup content and makes me soooo happy just by looking at them.

Siap ada orang kawin plak kat belakang

Family Ties

I'm very close with my siblings, cousins and aunties.  I want my children to have the same kind of bonding.  My parents are staying with me.  Having them so close with me makes wonders for my kids.  Kecerian tu senantiasa ada kata orang.

My Bottom, Mummy!

Well i want to introduce a cream, bukan cream muka but cream 'bontot' yikes obscene laa pulak it sounds ye.  Well its actually for baby bottom!  I nak introduce because my kids have been using it for the past 4 years..coming to 4 years.

It heals fast.  Gentle on baby bottom.  Its thick and creamy but u just need to apply thin layer.  Nappy rash or even kita punya crack nipple masa breastfeed pun boleh guna.
Try it out, you wont regret, its available at Watson/Guardian. BEPANTHEN

Becoming A Mother

I never really liked children. I remembered few years back whilst on a trip to Gold Coast, this 5 year girl tag along with our group and came to me. I direct shoot, “go away I don’t like children”, Plain and direct statement. Nah kau…terus dia nangis pi story kat mak dia.

The fact is at that time I feel children are nuisance! Memeningkan and they have all sorts of perangai especially those in the range of 3yrs to 7 yrs old. I don’t cuddle my colleagues babies, not even my cousins!

When the doc told me I was pregnant, I was dumbfounded. I was in tears not knowing what lies ahead. I wasn’t ready. It wasn’t in our plan. Not now anyway. I’m still in the honeymooning process. My mom was ecstatic and so was my husband. But of course God is great, he knows the best things in life for you. And now I’m blessed with 2 lil cheris and I even got a pair, Alhamdullilah! I cant imagine if my life lingers only with my husband. We might end up feeling lonely. Nowadays when I’m around friends who are eagerly waiting to become mommy after years of trying makes me feel even more thankful.

I enjoy being with children these days well not 100% enjoy ler but the graph has definitely strikes higher than the last Gold Coast trip hehehehe….Oh ya, I just became a Mak Besaq, a nephew just emerged on 30th July 2010, Irfan Faris.

My Daughter Dah Grow Up!

Anak dara i dah besar!  She knows how to throw tantrums, merajuk, making a crying act.  When Nabila merajuk, she will make her body limp like a vege, gracefully fall to the floor and started roll left and rite.  Sometimes you feel cutenya anak aku...well that only happens when you lazing around rite..if you just got back from work, tired and stress..u feel like *pang* sekali hehehe.. well u feel that way but of course u wont kick-off the action ...anak baru 1yr ++..

When u read all the articles about don't spank your kids, do it professionally talk to them.. they will learn eventually as told by the article laa. I mean i try to follow..yes i do..its not easy!  I think only 30% achievable.  The rest tak boleh pakai i dunno about others but for me sometimes its not so practical to say "Iman please dont throw your puzzle everywhere, our house will look messy" when dah 8-9 times you told him over and over again.

When does your child understand serious statement? Pening and i have only 2 in my house rite now, cant imagine those with lots of children.  End up i have to say "Imannnnnnnnnn... clean up" or in a more nicely manner, "If u don't clean up, i'll give away your puzzle" yikes..tu nice manner or threatening manner ..im trying to be a good mummy here, theoretically its easy, practically nope

Anyway Iman understand now about sad, angry and happy so whenever he sees me in no mood, he will ask "mummy kenapa mummy tak happy?" This statement makes my life much easier around them .well at least for now.
IN THE PROCESS ...

ABOUT TO START....
